Rabbi Josh Blass
RABBI Josh Blass has been the Rav at Kehillas Bais Yehudah since August 2005. Before coming to Wesley Hills, he served as the Rav of Congregation Birchat Shmuel (the Einstein Synagogue) in the Einstein Medical School for four years. In addition to his position as Rav of the shul, Rabbi Blass also serves as Mashgiach Ruchani at Yeshiva University.
Rabbi Blass received his smicha from RIETS in 1998. since that time he has had numerous roles as an educator in the New York area, including serving as a Rebbe at the Yeshiva University High School (MTA) from 1998 to 2002 and at the Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls from 2002 to 2004.
Active in many local Monsey organizations, Rabbi Blass serves as rabbinic advisor to Project Tikvah (organization to help and protect abused women), is a member of the Va’ad Harabbanim of the Rockland Eruv and an active member of the chevra kadisha.
Here in the KBY community, Rabbi Blass has striven to increase learning and chesed opportunities for adults and children.
Rabbi Blass and his wife Ilana are the parents of 4 children – Ahuva, Tani, Ori & Ella.
